Operation Walk Maryland is headed to Trinidad and Tobago! Needy patients who are candidates for hip and knee replacements have been screened by our colleagues. Our pre team has arrived and is setting up at Eric Williams Medical Science Complex. On Friday, October 13th, the rest of our team of volunteers, will arrive and begin the process. We plan to screen approximately 60 patients on Saturday, and then complete about 16 to 18 total joints per day the next three days.

Carrying on our mission of restoring hope through motion.. one joint at a time.

Such a routine surgery for those of us in the US can drastically alter these patients’ lives: allowing them to care for family, return to work, and support their community. Stay tuned for updates and more as we complete our 8th mission trip!

We are a private, not-for-profit, volunteer medical service organization that provides free surgical treatment for patients in developing countries and in the United States. We treat those suffering from disabling arthritis and other debilitating bone and joint conditions. Our mission is to help those who have little to no access to life-improving care. We provide all care including joint replacement implants at no cost. This is possible through the generous donations of our individual and corporate supporters.

In an effort to create a lasting contribution toward the care of patients around the world, Operation Walk Maryland team members also educate orthopedic surgeons and other health care professionals about advanced surgical techniques, disease treatments, and recovery procedures for hip and knee joint conditions.
